Embarking on an overnight trek to Soranuma-dake in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park is a journey into the serene heart of Hokkaido's wilderness. This adventure begins at the trailhead located at the end of a large quarry, just south of Sapporo City, and leads hikers through lush forests to the picturesque Soranuma-dake. The trail is well-defined and signposted, ensuring a safe passage through the natural beauty of the area.
Along the way, trekkers can find solace in the two huts by the small lake, with the larger Bankei Sanso hut offering shelter throughout the year.
