I’m also incredibly privileged to have traveled and experienced various challenging routes from the Swiss Alps to India and Nepal, and through Australia and the South Island of New Zealand.
I am also certified with Wilderness Medical Associates International as a Wilderness First Responder.

Our full day hikes are fantastic for those who have some extra time and desire to immerse themselves on the trails and peaks in the back country of the Shakotan, Toya Shikotsu National Park , Oshima Peninsula and the peak of Oshima Fuji, and south/west Sapporo areas. With an amazing selection of routes and peaks to choose from, you will finish your day totally satisfied with the adventure you will experience. These guided tours will have an early start to the day to allow us ample time for travel to and preparation at the trail head, as well as time at the end of the day to stop off at one of the many onsen that Hokkaido is famous for.

Step into Winter's Wonderland: Snowshoeing Adventures Await!
Day Snowshoeing Expedition:
Experience the magic of winter with our day snowshoeing expedition. Guided by experienced climbers, you'll venture into a snow-covered wonderland, each step a crunch beneath your snowshoes. Traverse through serene forests, along glistening streams, and maybe even catch a glimpse of Yezo sika deer. Breathe in the crisp, pure air as you explore hidden gems of the snowy landscape. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned in the use of snowshoes, this day trip promises adventure and breathtaking views that will leave you with unforgettable memories.
Example Itinerary-
Difficulty level- 4/10.
This day trek starts at 7:00am with a meet up at the closest subway station to the trailhead you have chosen. From there we will travel by private transport less than 1 hour to the trail head where we will prepare and check equipment and run through the safety brief before setting off on a 5-hour (or 8-hour for full day options) circuit along a well defined mountain trail with the option of setting off trail and exploring the forest as a group that will include a lunch stop. After lunch we then make our way back to the starting point to finish the loop and then to an onsen to warm up and relax before returning to Sapporo.
Multi-Day Snowshoeing Expedition:
For those seeking a deeper connection with winter's beauty, our multi-day snowshoeing expedition beckons. Journey through pristine wilderness, far from the noise of everyday life. Over the course of several days, you'll explore diverse terrains, from alpine meadows to secluded valleys, with a cozy wilderness hut as your evening retreat. Our experienced guides will lead you through this frozen wilderness, where you'll witness the tranquility of winter in all its glory. This is a chance to unplug, reconnect with nature, and create lasting bonds with fellow adventurers. Join us on an expedition that will redefine your winter experience.
Example Itinerary-
Difficulty level- 5-6/10 Meeting time is 8:00am at the most convenient train Station.
From there we will travel by private transport approx. 1 hour to the trail head. After completing preparation and discussing safety precautions and the day's forecast weather conditions, we will set out for our overnight accommodation at an alpine hut. Once we arrive there we can settle in and prepare for the next day's summit approach as well as explore the surrounding area close to the hut.
The next morning will see us enjoy breakfast and then off to the summit to enjoy the legendary vistas.
Returning to the hut, we can enjoy an early lunch and short rest, or continue through to the transportation and spent the afternoon at a local onsen before returning to Sapporo where we finish the tour.
